Grapefuit Margaritas on The Rocks

Grapefuit Margaritas on The Rocks

We are still getting requests for this recipe after I served them at the grand opening of my San Antonio store back in 2009. I hired a bartender whose only job was to freshly squeeze grapefruit juice at the moment each guest ordered thier cocktail. The margaritas were bursting with fresh grapefruit flavor, delicate and tangy. A sublime alternative to minosas.

Grapefruit Margaritas on the Rocks

2 oz freshly squeezed grapefruit juice, preferably Ruby Reds®

1 oz tequila

½ oz agave syrup

Kosher salt for the glasses

Combine the grapefruit juice, tequila and agave syrup in a glass pitcher,
and stir well. Prepare the margarita glass by rubbing a grapefruit section
around the rim, then inverting the glass onto a plate filled with kosher
salt, coating the rim. Fill the glass with ice, and then pour in the
grapefruit juice mixture.
